Planet Fitness Signs Sponsorship Deal With Philadelphia Eagles
Planet Fitness will get prominent branding at Lincoln Financial Field, in TV and radio spots and on the Eagles’ digital and social platforms
The Philadelphia Eagles and Planet Fitness are joining forces to designate the low-cost gym chain’s Philly-area franchise group as a team partner through 2024.
The deal will see Planet Fitness serve as an associate partner of the Eagles Girls Flag Football League, the Eagles 7v7 Showcase: 11-On and the Eagles Mobile Junior Pro Clinics. The fitness franchisor will also have prominent branding at Lincoln Financial Field, in TV and radio spots and on the Eagles’ digital and social platforms.
To celebrate the partnership with the 2018 Super Bowl champs, the popular fitness franchisor is extending an exclusive club offer at participating locations with $1 down and one month free for Classic and Black Card membership plans.
“With our franchise group operating over 90-plus locations in the Philadelphia area, we’re excited to pair football with fitness and look forward to making a difference for youth in our communities together,” said Christine Smith, chief marketing officer at National Fitness Partners.
Planet Fitness recently added a new location in the City of Brotherly Love at 510 North Broad Street, with Eagles players Brandon Graham and Landon Dickerson in attendance.
The 20,745 square-foot club features cardio, strength equipment, fully equipped locker rooms with lockers and showers and numerous flat-screen televisions. Black Card members can enjoy the Black Card Spa, equipped with tanning beds, HydroMassage loungers and infrared light therapy. Free fitness training is included in all Planet Fitness memberships.
Planet Fitness recently reported continued membership growth with over 18 million cardholders and is eyeing international expansion in Asia. In addition to the Eagles, the fitness operator has teamed up with several other well-known brands including Shell, Verizon, Sam’s Club, Chewy.com and Puma.
