The science-driven women’s supplement company touts its commitment to clinical rigor and medically backed solutions catered to female physiology

Science-driven women’s supplement company Perelel secured a $27 million investment from Prelude Growth Partners, with participation from existing investors Unilever Ventures, Willow Growth Partners and Selva Ventures.

Perelel was founded with a mission to create a line of clinically backed supplements that support women through each phase of their hormonal cycles, as well as different stages of life, from fertility and pregnancy to postpartum and perimenopause.

“Perelel’s doctor-founding coupled with its clinical validation and commitment to women’s health research stands out in the category,” said co-founder and managing partner of Prelude Growth, Neda Daneshzadeh. “We are extremely proud to partner with the team to support them in creating a powerhouse brand that is reimagining the future of women’s health.”

The partnership will take the place of early angel investors, as the brand looks to jumpstart a new phase of growth.

“This moment validates what we’ve built over the past five years: a business that proves women trust and return to brands that invest in clinical rigor and medically backed solutions,” said co-founder and CEO of Perelel and mother of four, Victoria Thain Gioia.

“As a women-founded firm with deep expertise in scaling consumer health and wellness brands, Prelude Growth understands both our market and our mission,” Gioia continued. “Their proven ability to build category leaders makes them the ideal partner as we evolve beyond pregnancy and postpartum support into a comprehensive women’s health company. We’re so excited to add them to our bench of incredible female board members.”

The funding boost comes as brands are increasingly investing in women’s healthcare, with Midi Health, a virtual clinic specializing in perimenopause and menopause care, recently raising $50 million in a Series C round

Supplement brand Momentous also launched its own line of supplements tailored to female physiology, developed in collaboration with renowned exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist Dr. Stacy Sims, as part of its broader initiative, “Change The Ratio,” through which the brand is allocating $500,000 to fund research and product development focused on women’s health.
