Oura Introduces Oura Advisor, an AI Feature for Personalized Health

Oura AI Advisor
The AI tool combines biometric data and generative AI to provide personalized guidance to users

Today, Oura launched Oura Advisor, a new feature that uses generative AI and the company’s biometric data to provide personalized guidance. The feature was first introduced in beta through Oura Labs and is the second experimental tool to be fully integrated into the Oura App.

The feature has been in beta testing for several months, during which more than 60% of users interacted with it multiple times per week and about 20% used it daily. Sixty percent of users said Oura Advisor helped them better understand their health metrics, while 56% said it helped them apply that information in a way that supported their health.

“The magic of Oura Advisor is its proprietary combination of generative AI combined with Oura’s extensive biometric tracking, deep scientific expertise from more than 25 on-staff Ph.D.s, and years of research and validation,” said Oura. “This means the information Oura Advisor provides is not based on averages, but on each person’s unique biometrics.”

The experience also blends conversational AI with long-term trend detection and context retention through a feature called “Memories.” This allows Oura Advisor to recall past conversations and build on them, creating continuity in the support it provides.

“We’ve been able to learn from real members how they’re interacting with it, what value they’re getting and how we could make the experience even better,” said Oura. “During this beta period, we learned that our members really responded to the approach and gained a lot of value.”

In addition to offering customized coaching, the full version of Oura Advisor includes a revamped chat experience with data visualizations and trend analysis. It can generate relevant topics for discussion, access and interpret long-term data, and continue learning about the user over time. The feature also introduces dynamic tone adjustment, shifting its communication style depending on the user’s preferences while maintaining a consistent tone.

Oura describes Oura Advisor as part of a larger effort to incorporate AI across its platform, a trend of the wearables space more generally. Whoop, Garmin, Apple and other wearable companies have also implemented AI technology into their offerings to enhance user experiences. The company has also recently been expanding its retail partnerships and investing in medical research to improve user offerings.

“What differentiates Oura Advisor is the combination of generative AI with real biometric data, ongoing scientific validation and a focus on individual experience,” the company noted. “It’s not just about information—it’s about making that information relevant and actionable for the person using it.”
