Nutrabolt, the parent company of C4 energy drinks, has confirmed it has made another significant investment in Bloom Nutrition, the social media–born wellness brand co-founded by fitness influencer Mari Llewellyn, bringing its total investment to more than $200 million.

The company did not disclose its ownership stake, but industry insiders believe the level of investment, paired with the potential for consolidation, could give Nutrabolt majority control of the fast-growing wellness line.

The deal builds on Nutrabolt’s initial 20% stake in Bloom, secured in January 2024 through a $90 million financing round. Last summer, the Gen-Z targeted Bloom made its biggest move yet beyond greens and superfood powders with the launch of Bloom Sparkling Energy, a ready-to-drink beverage, followed by an entry into the gut-friendly, better-for-you soda space with Bloom Pop.

“Since our first introduction to Bloom, I’ve been continually impressed by the brand’s evolution, its visionary founders and their explosive growth,” Nutrabolt chairman and CEO Doss Cunningham said. “With the breakout success of Bloom Pop and a record-breaking year for Bloom Sparkling Energy, the brand’s momentum presents a powerful step-change growth opportunity for Nutrabolt. I’m confident Bloom is on track to become one of the fastest-growing and most talked-about beverage brands in the years ahead.”

In addition to energy drinks, Bloom has been expanding into functional supplements, launching zero-sugar Creatine Gummies this month to appeal to young women embracing strength training.

With this expanded partnership, we’re excited to enter our next phase of growth and create something truly meaningful together.”
