Muscle Lab Using ChatGPT To Design Personalized Recovery Plans

Muscle Lab is leveraging AI to offer its clients “dynamically tailored” experiences that evolve to meet their needs and preferences over time

At a time when some are intimidated by the fast-moving advancements of AI, Muscle Lab has identified an opportunity to offer the ultimate personalization in its recovery and wellness techniques by utilizing ChatGPT.

The California-based Muscle Lab promises to start integrating ChatGPT into its advanced recovery techniques in a way that will “redefine the industry’s approach to personalized wellness and recovery, surpassing even Apple’s upcoming ‘Custom Plans’ for its Fitness+ product.”

According to Muscle Lab co-founder Andy Treys, the integration of OpenAI’s GPT-4 technology means Muscle Lab can tailor its clients’ health and wellness experiences, bringing it to new heights.

Muscle Lab currently offers several treatments for its clients, including IV vitamin therapy, vitamin shots, NAD IV therapy, stretch therapy, myofascial release, cupping therapy, cryotherapy, infrared Sauna and compression therapy.

“This is the next stage of wellness – deeply personal, responsive, and effective,” said Treys, who is also credited as the technical and marketing mastermind behind the new approach that embraces the enhancements AI can bring to the health and wellness industry.

Since AI understands and predicts human needs and behavior, Muscle Lab clients will receive “dynamically tailored” experiences that evolve to meet their needs and preferences over time.

The Pasadena wellness center opened in 2020 and has amassed notable clients including celebrities Jake Paul, Winnie Harlow, and Bryson Tiller as well as athletes such as professional boxer Deontay Wilder and NBA player Tyler Herro.

“We’re using the synergy between AI technology and expert, personalized services to set Muscle Lab apart in the industry,” said Vatche Ourishian, Muscle Lab co-founder and performance director. “Bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds will allow us to offer our clients a wellness experience that has never been accomplished before in the space.”

Even with the advanced technology, Muscle Lab still uses a human approach.

The personalized plans adapt based on personal goals and progress, and clients can remain engaged by tracking their journey in real-time.

The wellness center’s plans include the Muscle Lab Digital Wellness Suite Smart Lab, where members can interact with an AI-powered journaling platform, an idea born from Trey’s personal experience.

“Unleashing my thoughts and feelings onto this platform felt like reaching a new stratum of consciousness,” Treys said. “The experience was akin to confiding in an understanding friend, unfiltered and nonjudgmental. Smart Lab isn’t just an application…it’s an empathetic partner, reflecting on your shared dialogues in an insightful manner.”
