Therabody Adds NFL Star Josh Allen as First-Ever Performance Advisor

The wellness tech brand is pushing deeper into sports and high performance, tapping the reigning NFL MVP for insights on product development and education

Therabody has tapped Josh Allen, one of the NFL’s most popular quarterbacks and the league’s reigning MVP, as its first-ever Performance Advisor. The move extends the longtime partnership between Allen and the wellness tech brand, where he has already been an investor and vocal advocate.

Allen has relied on Therabody since his rookie season, when the brand’s founder and chief wellness officer Dr. Jason Wersland first introduced him to the Theragun. Over the past seven years, Therabody’s devices have become central to his preparation and recovery routines.

In his new role, Allen will contribute directly to product development and athlete education. He also headlines Therabody’s latest campaign, which offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at how purposeful recovery supports performance. Jordan Palmer, Allen’s longtime private QB coach, has joined as a brand ambassador and lends his voice to the campaign’s lead commercial.

“Seven years in, and I still reach for my Theragun before and after every workout, every practice and every game,” Allen said. “It’s not just recovery for me, it’s preparation. That’s why I’m excited to step into this new role as Performance Advisor, to help bring that same mindset and insight into product development and show people that this isn’t just about feeling better, it’s about performing better.”

To mark the occasion, Therabody will release two exclusive Josh Allen Performance Bundles in the U.S. from September 7 through November 22, built around the quarterback’s personal recovery routine. The packages feature Therabody’s “plus” lineup, including the Theragun Pro Plus, JetBoots Pro Plus and ThermBack LED, alongside cold therapy attachments.
