The mental health platform now offers direct-to-consumer therapy in all 50 states, blending licensed care, AI, and self-guided tools into one holistic app experience

Headspace is bringing its clinical expertise directly to consumers with the launch of Therapy by Headspace, now available across all 50 states. For the first time, individuals can access insurance-covered therapy through the platform, unlocking affordable, evidence-based care for over 90 million Americans.

The new offering builds on Headspace’s decade of experience delivering therapy through employer and health plan partners. Most members will pay $0–$35 per session thanks to in-network partnerships with over 45 major insurance providers, including Cigna, Optum, and UnitedHealthcare.

Unlike traditional platforms, Therapy by Headspace integrates 1:1 video sessions with licensed therapists, an AI-powered emotional support companion called Ebb, and three months of complimentary access to the full Headspace app, creating a continuous care ecosystem.

“This is about more than just making therapy available,” said Tom Pickett, CEO of Headspace, in a press release. “It’s about providing 24/7 support that blends human care with AI to drive better, faster outcomes.”

With plans to roll out AI-driven assessments and personalized care plans in the coming months, Headspace is redefining what mental health care can look like—affordable, accessible, and always on.
