Fueled by growth, gains and a little Will Power, EoS Fitness just crossed 1.5 million members

EoS Fitness is bulking up.

The fast-growing gym chain capped a strong second quarter by surpassing 1.5 million members, opening 10 new locations and launching fresh fitness and recovery offerings.

Known for its amenity-packed clubs, budget-friendly pricing and Will Power, the industry’s first fitness mascot, EoS is accelerating its growth. The first million members took nearly 10 years. The next half-million came in less than two, according to EoS Fitness. To mark the milestone, gym operator gave away 1.5 million personal training sessions, an estimated $60 million value.

In May, private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners inked a deal to acquire the fitness chain.

“The results we saw in Q2 are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the entire EoS team,” EoS Fitness CEO Rich Drengberg said. “We’re scaling with purpose and ensuring long-term value by expanding access to an elevated fitness experience, investing in innovation and reinforcing our commitment to the communities we serve. EoS is building for the future with the same passion and focus that got us to this point, powered by a team determined to be the best.”

The HVLP leader also opened new gyms across Texas, Florida and Arizona, signed 11 new leases and reinvested $4.3 million into upgrading existing locations. New amenities at select clubs include Contender’s Corner, a boxing-inspired group training zone, and a nationwide rollout of the EoS Assisted Stretch Program.

While expanding its footprint, EoS is also investing in the communities it serves through charitable giving and accessibility initiatives. This quarter, the company raised $75,000 for Project 150’s student scholarships, awarded 118 membership grants to athletes with physical challenges and donated nearly $150,000 to the American Diabetes Association. In another standout move, EoS also gifted a fully accessible fitness space to The Opportunity Tree, a nonprofit serving Arizonans with intellectual disabilities, giving 250 Special Olympics athletes year-round training access.

Behind the growth, EoS Fitness Chief Operating Officer Richard Idgar said, is a relentless focus on its members.

“Every number represents a person whose life has been impacted by fitness, and that’s what motivates our team,” Idgar said. “Focusing on consistency, quality and efficiency is how we turn bold goals into everyday wins.”
