The release follows Universal Music Group and Endel’s strategic partnership earlier this year to create soundscapes for daily activities like sleep and focus by leveraging the power of AI. “Endel’s mission is to empower artists to break into the functional music space using our technology, and ‘breathe’ is an amazing addition to our collection of artist-driven, scientifically engineered soundscapes,” said Oleg Stavitsky, Endel co-founder and CEO. “breathe” album artwork (credit: Chad Lawson) The Endel-Chad Lawson meditation collaboration comes as Decca Records US, Lawson’s recording label, and the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) have joined forces to celebrate World Mental Health Day (WMHD) with an initiative to promote mental health awareness. Decca US has also released a special playlist of calming music for the day featuring WMHD artist ambassadors like Chad Lawson, Cody Fry, Kings Elliot, Lara Somogyi and more. World Mental Health Day was established in 1992 by the World Federation for Mental Health. The 2023 theme is “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right.” WMHD has a presence in over 150 countries, and the theme emphasizes the fundamental importance of taking care of one’s mental well-being.
