Matt Kredich got a call from three-time Olympian Erik Vendt in 2015 with a request.
Vendt, whom Kredich coached in his early years, wanted to come to Knoxville to meet with Kredich, the Tennessee director of swimming and diving. Vendt works for Whoop, a company specializing in wearable fitness technology, and wanted to pitch Kredich on the potential advantages for the Vols.
He succeeded.
