System Raises $20M to Make Peptides More Accessible for Americans 

The startup’s all-in-one platform is designed to help consumers navigate peptide treatments, connect with licensed clinicians and receive prescribed compounds at home

System, a peptide-focused health platform, has raised $20 million in new funding as it looks to build a more accessible, consumer-friendly way for Americans to explore peptide treatments, consult with licensed clinicians and receive prescribed compounds through compounding pharmacies.

The round includes backing from Patron Fund, Will Ventures, Vine, Courtside, Daybreak, SV Angel and RiverPark Ventures.

Rather than operating simply as an online peptide seller or telehealth provider, System is building a vertically integrated platform around the category. Users are connected with U.S.-licensed clinicians who evaluate their health history and determine an appropriate treatment protocol, with prescribed products then compounded through pharmacies in System’s network and shipped to patients.

The platform currently offers treatments including glutathione, MIC+B12, NAD+ and sermorelin, targeting areas such as energy, recovery, metabolism, muscle and healthy aging.

“My vision was never to be another DTC telehealth brand, but to own more of the stack and build the foundation this category needs as it moves into the mainstream,” System founder and CEO Adam Steinle said.

System’s pitch comes as peptides move beyond biohacking circles and deeper into the mainstream longevity and wellness conversation — it also comes as Americans struggle to make sense of the market, with different peptides marketed for everything from recovery and muscle growth to metabolism, energy and healthy aging.

System is also looking to control more of the supply chain. System has a compounding pharmacy in its network and says an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturer is on its roadmap.

The company says its medications are third-party lab tested, its clinicians are background-checked and reviewed against the National Practitioner Data Bank, and treatments are sourced through FDA-registered U.S. compounding pharmacies.

System is available across all 50 states, subject to state telehealth regulations, and offers free two-day shipping.

The regulatory environment around compounded peptides continues to evolve. In July, an FDA advisory committee considered several bulk drug substances for potential inclusion on the agency’s list of substances that may be used by certain compounding pharmacies, highlighting the growing attention being paid to the category.

For System, the opportunity is to occupy the space between high-priced concierge longevity clinics and a fragmented market of online peptide sources.

“We want to be category definers and the solution Americans use and trust for their long-term health,” Steinle said.
