Superpower, the celebrity-backed startup, says its new $199 membership makes concierge-level preventive care and biomarker testing accessible to more people

Superpower, a San Francisco-based health app focused on preventive care, has rolled out a $199 annual membership intended to make concierge-style healthcare available to a broader market.

The startup, which raised $30 million in a Series A round earlier this year after a $4 million pre-seed in 2023, counts NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo, DJ Steve Aoki, actress Vanessa Hudgens, investor Balaji Srinivasan and Sweetgreen founder Jonathan Neman among its backers.

The launch marks Superpower’s transition out of beta as the company pushes into consumer-led diagnostics. Its platform offers more than 100 lab tests spanning heart health, hormone levels, metabolism, inflammation and biological age. While typical blood panels provide fewer than 20 markers, Superpower analyzes hundreds and pairs the results with personalized health scores, biological benchmarks and tailored care plans.

“We’re on a mission to bring the best of health to millions,” Superpower co-founder and president Max Marchione said. “Now we’re one step closer to doing just that. Just as tens of millions subscribe to affordable memberships for everyday essentials, we see a future where that same scale exists for a seminal health membership.”

The membership, which is HSA/FSA eligible, also includes access to a concierge-level medical team, integration with wearables like Oura Ring and Whoop, and personalized protocols built from diagnostic data.

“The era of expensive, inaccessible healthcare is over, this is what comes next,” Superpower co-founder Jacob Peters said. “Taking control of your health shouldn’t cost tens of thousands of dollars. For the first time, advanced preventative care is priced to be within reach for everyone.”
