Physique 57 Raises Bar with New Class Formats
The barre fitness brand has launched Physique Strength and Physique Ignite at two of its NY-area studios this week
Barre fitness brand Physique 57 has introduced two new class formats at its New York City studios on 60th and 5th and in Soho that pull from extensive client feedback and top fitness trends.
It’s yet another forward-thinking move from the boutique barre brand that was years ahead of the digital content fitness curve and demonstrated impressive agility during the pandemic.
The fresh formats–Physique Strength and Physique Ignite–each target specific fitness goals through 55-minute, instructor-led sessions focusing on strength and HIIT. What’s more, they are mindfully designed for female fitness consumers.
“There’s currently a lack of science-backed, high-intensity formats that focus on proper form while combining true strength training with barre methodology,” Physique 57 co-founder Jennifer Maanavi explained. “With the rising demand for hybrid workout styles and an increasing focus on strength training among women, we saw an opportunity to bridge this gap.”
Physique Ignite, true to its name, is designed for maximum calorie burn and offers a nonstop interval training class featuring high repetitions and full-body exercises. Physique Strength emphasizes resistance training with heavier weights, aiming to boost bone density and sculpt body composition. The two fitness programs complement Physique 57’s other available classes: Sculpt, Core Pilates and its signature classic workout.
In addition to several studios in the Northeast and an international presence in Dubai, India and Bangkok, Physique 57 offers an on-demand platform featuring more than 500 workouts, live classes, programs and meal plans.
