Lumin Fitness Rolls Out AI Personal Training Tech, Adds Gym Partner
The self-proclaimed “world’s smartest fitness studio” is licensing its personal training tech to other gyms, starting with Fitness Connection
Lumin Fitness changed the boutique studio game with its gamified, AI-powered workouts, marketing itself as the “world’s smartest fitness studio.” And for the first time, other gyms will now have access to its tech.
In a new partnership with Fitness Connection’s Carrollton, Texas location, Lumin will debut its personalized training offering, Lumin Solo, bringing its AI innovation outside of its own studios for the first time.
Lumin Solo offers members access to their own on-demand AI trainer and classes, with features such as:
- Real-time guidance that adapts instantly to the user’s pace, energy and goals
- Built-in challenges and rewards that gamify fitness
- Automatic tracking of reps and body mechanics without the need for a wearable device
- Over 500 sessions ranging from 15 to 60 minutes
“Personal fitness has always been about discipline. With Lumin Solo, it’s about design,” said Lumin Fitness co-founder and CEO Omeed Shams. “Together with Fitness Connection, we’re making workouts more engaging, adaptive and accessible for everyone who walks through the doors.”
Lumin’s technology uses a proprietary operating system that combines AI coaching, gamification, motion tracking and personalized audio.
The partnership isn’t surprising, given Lumin’s established investment across key markets in Texas — last year, the brand moved to franchise its studios and expand to 13 locations throughout the state.
Looking ahead, Fitness Connection plans to expand the Lumin Solo tech to its other locations.
