John Reed Fitness Lights Up Santa Monica With Club-Like Vibe
The second floor of the new fitness concept is reserved for live DJ performances and features immersive lighting and sound
John Reed Fitness has announced the grand opening of its Santa Monica location, bringing its part-gym, part-club experience to the Silicon Beach region with a 45,000-square-foot facility.
The unique fitness concept also has locations in Dallas and Los Angeles and an international presence with studios in Istanbul, Budapest, Paris and Prague.
Fitness enthusiasts who participated in the SaMo grand opening weekend received free club access with special programming, including classes, cupping therapy by Myodetox and a piercing station.
The new John Reed location is at the corner of 3rd Street Promenade and Wilshire Blvd., with three stories and a coastal and airy vibe. It features unlimited classes, free weights, functional and machine strength training, cardio and stretching.
The fitness brand implemented natural light and greenery for the space and showcases the artwork of local and international artists. The second floor is reserved for live DJ performances and features immersive lighting and sound.
“We are thrilled to introduce the John Reed experience to Santa Monica,” said Silke Hensel, chief marketing officer at RSG Group North America. In addition to John Reed, Gold’s Gym and McFit are also part of RSG Group’s vast portfolio.
“This location boasts a vibrant design, top-notch music curation, premium equipment, and a wide range of class offerings,” Hensel said. “The local community now has a fitness-oriented lifestyle space where members can connect, push their limits, and enjoy themselves.”
John Reed in Santa Monica is open every day from 5 to 12 a.m. The fitness brand is also expected to open a West Hollywood location later this year.
