Veterans Can Now Use GI Bill Benefits for ISSA Personal Trainer Certification
ISSA’s new partnership with the VA allows veterans and their families to use GI Bill benefits for a career in fitness
The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) has announced a new partnership that will help more people become certified. Now, veterans and their eligible family members can enroll in the ISSA Certified Personal Trainer certification (CPT) program using VA benefits, thanks to reimbursement eligibility through the GI Bill starting on July 1, 2024.
This initiative highlights ISSA’s ongoing commitment to supporting those who’ve served our country, offering a clear path to rewarding careers in fitness.
“At ISSA, we recognize the extraordinary commitment that members of the military bring to their service, and we are dedicated to supporting them both during and after their service,” said Rob Findling, ISSA Director of Inside Sales and Military Specialist.
“As a Marine Corps veteran, I understand firsthand the transformative power of education and career readiness,” Findling continues. “This partnership with the VA opens new doors for veterans, allowing them to leverage their discipline and leadership skills into rewarding careers as personal trainers.”
What makes this partnership even more impactful are the various benefits and opportunities available for military personnel through the ISSA personal trainer certification program.
The ISSA’s move to include its CPT course in the list of programs eligible for GI Bill reimbursement underscores the organization’s commitment to providing military members and their families with access to quality education and certification. The inclusion of this program in the GI Bill offerings provides a valuable opportunity for veterans looking to transition into civilian roles – like personal training – that capitalize on their unique skills.
The partnership between ISSA and the VA represents a significant step forward in supporting veterans’ career development, offering them a pathway to leverage their military experience in the growing fitness industry.
