Gold’s Gym SoCal has added Octagon Load to more locations, expanding its strength training offering
Gold’s Gym SoCal is deepening its commitment to functional strength training by installing Escape Fitness’ Octagon Load system at two additional locations: Glendale and Beverly Center.
The rollout follows a successful debut at its Fullerton location earlier this year, where Octagon Load — Escape’s bolt-down, variable-resistance training system — sparked significant member engagement and performance gains. The Glendale and Beverly Center gyms have repurposed underutilized floor space into high-performance training zones using Escape’s “box within a box” model, which enables fee-based programming and alleviates congestion on the main gym floor.
“Load has completely changed how our members approach strength and athletic training,” said Brian Morris, senior vice president at Gold’s Gym SoCal. “We’ve seen not only better training outcomes but also improved traffic flow and new premium revenue potential.”

Each Octagon Load setup includes five integrated stations: Squat, Drive, Lift, Press and Row. The system is designed for immersive, full kinetic chain workouts. Members perform exercises in standing positions with guided resistance, targeting athletic performance and efficient use of space.
Matthew Januszek, CEO of Escape Fitness Americas, called the expansion a “milestone moment” for the brand’s U.S. footprint.
“Gold’s Gym SoCal understands that today’s members want more than just equipment — they want a complete training experience that delivers results,” he said.
The expansion marks the next phase in a broader rollout strategy, signaling Gold’s Gym SoCal’s continued focus on premium fitness solutions and modular space innovation.
