CorePower Yoga and Beyond Yoga are joining forces to expand opportunities for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) aspiring yoga teachers. Starting in spring 2025, CorePower Yoga will increase its BIPOC Teacher Training Scholarships by 30% through Beyond Yoga’s sponsorship of 15 additional scholarships. The expansion will result in 65 full-tuition scholarships for CorePower Yoga’s Teacher Training program.

Since the inception of its BIPOC Teacher Training Scholarship Program in 2020, CorePower Yoga has awarded over 2,500 scholarships. All scholarship recipients will receive full tuition for CorePower Yoga’s 200-hour teacher training program, a complimentary all access membership to CorePower Yoga during the training period, and a collection of Beyond Yoga activewear.

The 9-week training, running from March 11 to May 17, 2025, is offered in flexible formats, with hybrid in-studio and fully online options available. Scholarship applicants will be notified of their acceptance in February.

“We are so grateful to come together for this important initiative,” said Sarah Choi, chief marketing and commercial officer at CorePower Yoga. “It shines a light on diversity and equity in the yoga community at large.”

Beyond Yoga, a female-founded brand similarly has a BIPOC Yoga Teacher Scholarship Fund to expand diversity in yoga studios.

“We’re honored to enable more people to step into the studio and do what they love with a diverse community around them,” said Katie Babineau, chief marketing officer at Beyond Yoga. “CorePower Yoga has been a long-standing partner, and it made a lot of sense to team up to bring more power and resources to this program.”

Beyond Yoga will invest over $37,500 in tuition, resources, and events for CorePower’s Spring scholarship recipients.
