Breathe In, Chill Out: Pause & Alo Moves Join Forces
Cold plunges just got cooler, with Pause and Alo Moves bringing breathwork into the recovery room with a vibe-heavy, tech-forward wellness mashup
Pause, the wellness franchise known for contrast therapy and high-design recovery spaces offering saunas, cold plunges, IV drips and more, is teaming up with wellness platform Alo Moves to bring immersive breathwork experiences to its locations across the U.S.
Dubbed the Contrast Breathwork Series, the collaboration brings Alo Moves’ guided practices directly into Pause’s recovery suites via mounted iPads preloaded with Alo Moves programming. Led by Wim Hof-certified instructor Kira Mae Kazuko, guests can choose from guided meditations ranging from 30 seconds to 3.5 minutes. Each room is also outfitted with an infrared sauna, cold plunge tub and private shower.
“This partnership unlocks a powerful new way for people to engage with Alo Moves,” Alo Moves general manager Natasha Trindall said. “Whether they’re longtime members or just beginning their wellness journey, guests now have the opportunity to engage with our expert-backed programming in a setting designed to support recovery, sustainable mindful living and a truly balanced approach to wellness.”
The new Contrast Breathwork Series launches as Pause eyes major growth, with plans to open 25 locations by the end of the year. Both companies confirmed that plans are underway to expand Alo Moves’ immersive audio programming to other services at Pause, including guided meditations tailored to float therapy, cryotherapy, LED light beds and more.
“Cold plunges are incredibly effective—but they can also be intimidating,” Pause co-founder and president Jeff Ono said. “Our goal is to give guests not just a private space to recover, but the tools to drop in and do it well. That’s where Alo Moves comes in.”
In addition to immersive programming, Pause and Alo Yoga will host activations and offer exclusive referral benefits.

Earlier this year, Pause also teamed up with Lifeforce, a longevity-focused medical program, to launch an integrated wellness offering that uses blood biomarker data to personalize treatments like cryotherapy, infrared sessions, contrast therapy, LED light beds and IV drips.
