Boutique fitness franchise celebrates growth, plans 15 new studios in 2024

Bodybar Pilates, a boutique fitness franchise headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has secured the 276th spot on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. This marks the franchise’s first appearance on the list, driven by an impressive three-year revenue growth rate of 1,192%.

The Inc. 5000 list ranks companies based on their percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. To be eligible, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2020. Additionally, they need to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2023. The minimum revenue required for 2020 was $100,000, and for 2023, it was $2 million. Growth rates used for rankings were calculated to four decimal places, and all honorees underwent an editorial review by Inc.

The company’s growth has been largely fueled by a surge in new studio openings nationwide. Capitalizing on this momentum, Bodybar Pilates aims to open 15 more studios in the second half of 2024.

“We are thrilled to be named to the 2024 Inc. 5000 list for the first time,” said Matt McCollum, CEO of Bodybar Pilates. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our franchise partners who have brought Bodybar Pilates to their communities. We are excited about our continued expansion and look forward to opening more studios this year.”

“This award recognizes the dedication of our team members across the country who deliver accessible and challenging workouts,” said Kamille McCollum, chief brand officer. “We will continue to grow as we introduce the Bodybar method to more people.”

Bodybar Pilates’ inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list underscores its ongoing success and ambitious growth plans for 2024. Earlier this year, Kamille McCollum told Athletech News, “I am most proud of the community that my studios have developed and created. Boutique fitness is about working toward your physical goals, challenging yourself to be pushed in ways you may not always push yourself, and being a part of a community makes a difference.”
