Balian Springs is introducing targeted wellness journey guides for guests

Personalization matters, particularly with an abundance of wellness practices readily available at Balian Springs.

The Alexandria, Virginia-based wellness destination is taking the guesswork out of the mix with newly created Wellness Journey Guides to demystify popular wellness practices and help pick the right path.

The guides suggest how best to experience the Bali-inspired spa and wellness retreat across seven categories: The Immunity Boost, The Spiritualist, The Warrior, The Beaute, The Detoxer, The Socialite and The Executive. The guides also include descriptions of how each experience supports health and wellness.

“Wellness is for everyone, but it can be overwhelming when presented with so many choices,” Balian Springs founder Stephanie Chon said. “That’s why we developed these wellness guides to provide guests with a personalized journey that aligns with their goals and enhances their overall well-being.”

Located right outside of Washington, D.C., Balian Springs has an abundance of wellness amenities from themed saunas, indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pools, coed plunge pools, steam rooms, a fitness center and massage therapies to workshops and the Lilikoi Day Spa for facials and body treatments. Several health-centric eateries are also on-site, as well as a rooftop bar with an infinity pool, outdoor cabanas and a view of Alexandria.

In Global Wellness Summit’s recent report, The Future of Wellness: 2025 Trends, Global Wellness Institute research director Beth McGroarty forecasts a widespread adoption of “analog wellness,” representing a seismic shift.

“The online world’s relentless manipulations, marketing, disinformation and division campaigns, causing general brain and culture rotting, have gone too far,” McGroarty wrote. “‘Digital detox’ may be as old as the Internet, but 2025 will be the year more people get aggressive about logging off, and new tools and destinations will help them.”
