UFC Gym’s Latest Franchise Play Targets Jiu-Jitsu Enthusiasts

As UFC Gym expands into new markets, its all-ages Jiu-Jitsu franchise concept creates fresh opportunities for operators looking to tap into the booming combat sports space
UFC Gym, a studio extension of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is launching out a new franchise concept focused exclusively on Jiu-Jitsu as the fitness brand looks to broaden its footprint and capitalize on the rising demand for combat sports training.
The new concept, UFC GYM Jiu-Jitsu, blends traditional Jiu-Jitsu instruction with mixed martial arts–inspired fitness programming. The format is designed for both first-time students and seasoned athletes, offering programs for adults and youth, including Alta Global Group’s Warrior Training Program. Geared for adults, the structured fight-camp-style program allows competitors to step into the Octagon.

“With 2.8 million active practitioners in the U.S. alone, Jiu-Jitsu’s popularity continues to surge as more people seek self-defense skills and dynamic fitness training,” UFC Gym CEO Adam Sedlack said. “UFC GYM Jiu-Jitsu delivers an authentic, world-class training experience, backed by UFC’s unmatched credibility and brand strength.”
UFC Gym has partnered with BJJ Link, a gym management and engagement platform, to provide franchisees with tools for membership management, payment processing, and community engagement.

Franchise studios will range from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet and are recommended for areas with a population of at least 50,000. The total investment ranges from $150,000 to $325,000, and prospective owners are expected to have a minimum of $100,000 in liquid capital and a net worth of at least $300,000.
UFC Gym, meanwhile, plans to open more than 45 locations globally this year, with new markets including Pakistan, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Germany, the UAE, Morocco, India, Kazakhstan and Russia.
“We’re witnessing a powerful shift, as more and more people are drawn to our ‘Train Different’ philosophy,” Sedlack said.”Our facilities are not just places to work out – they’re transformative spaces where individuals challenge their limits, build their confidence and reinvent their approach to health and fitness. Every day, we hear inspiring stories from our incredible members whose lives have been impacted by UFC Gym, both physically and mentally. Our mission is clear: to inspire people to become the best versions of themselves, pushing past barriers and realizing their full potential.”
