Recline & Unwind Social Spa (RU Social Spa) an open-concept social spa hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, has sold its first franchise, which will open this year in Beaufort, South Carolina.

The women-owned wellness franchise offers affordable massages ($30 for 15-minute sessions) kid- and teen-friendly services and private party options. At Recline & Unwind Social Spa, guests enjoy services while fully clothed in zero-gravity recliners seated in an open room designed for social wellness—where conversation, connection and even photo-taking are encouraged.

Services at Recline & Unwind range from scalp, neck, and shoulder massages to treatments targeting the feet and lower legs, hands, wrists, forearms and face, along with mineral salt foot soaks. Guests can opt for add-ons like aromatherapy, muscle balm, exfoliating scrubs, sheet masks, eye gels and lip masks. Local beer, wine, natural sodas, and hot tea are also available.

“This is a huge moment for us,” Recline & Unwind co-founder Heidi Plant said. “Our dream has been to create an inclusive, accessible space for people to unwind, recharge and connect. To see that vision take root in a new community through our first franchise is incredibly rewarding.”

The estimated initial investment for prospective franchisees ranges from $183,383 to $359,000.
