The HVLP fitness giant is set to report its Q1 2025 earnings this week

Spring is in full swing, and Planet Fitness wants to help fitness consumers shake off the winter slump without breaking the bank. Starting today through May 16, the gym giant is offering new members a chance to join for just $1 down and $15 a monthwith no commitment.

The fitness franchisor is set to report its Q1 2025 earnings this week as it eyes continued domestic growth and a strategic push into international markets, following its Spain debut last year.

The “Judgement Free” HVLP fitness operator has leaned into strength training in an appeal to Gen Z, adding new plate-loaded equipment to nearly all of its U.S. locations, including bench press, hack squat and seated calf raise machines. Members can access free training sessions, the Planet Fitness app and bonus discounts through the PF Perks program.

To help members get moving this May, Planet Fitness shared four quick, effective bench-based moves—perfect whether you’re easing into strength training or looking to add something new to your routine:

  • Bench Squat to Knee Tuck: Sit on the edge of a bench with feet hip-width apart, stand up and as you balance on one leg, bring the opposite knee toward your chest.
  • Bench Single Leg Hip Hinge: Standing on one leg near a bench for support if needed, slowly hinge forward at the hips while extending the free leg behind you.
  • Bench Push-up to Trunk Rotation: With hands on the bench edge, perform a push-up, then rotate your body to one side, extending your arm upward.
  • Bench Mountain Climbers to Plank Jacks: Place hands on the bench in a plank position, alternate bringing knees toward chest, then jump feet out and in, similar to a jumping jack.
