InsideTracker Unveils Terra, a Virtual Health Coach With Answers

Wellness made personal: Akin to high-end concierge medicine, Terra offers personalized, data-driven health guidance
Boston-based health analytics company InsideTracker is introducing Terra, a personalized virtual health coach that delivers tailored recommendations by integrating users’ blood biomarkers, body composition, sleep patterns, supplement intake, fitness tracker data, and food and exercise preferences.
The rollout builds on the company’s native AI tool, Ask InsideTracker, which was released last year.
With its latest upgrade, Terra can answer health-related questions with personalized replies—using data such as blood biomarkers to recommend actionable steps for bringing metrics back into an optimal range, suggesting vitamins or explaining why a member might be feeling fatigued.
“We’ve been building AI systems for a decade, so the recent energy around this sector has been a tremendous opportunity for us,” InsideTracker CEO Rony Sellam said. “Our members are now able to take advantage of advanced health tools unlike anything else on the market. The real breakthrough here is that these different types of AI are more effective when paired together. It’s a huge testament to our engineers and data scientists that we’re able to bring this solution to life.”
Terra will also understand a member’s workout habits, mealtimes and genetic predispositions, aligning recommendations with individual schedules and preferences. InsideTracker emphasizes that while Terra has access to health data, it remains secure, as it does not collect names, dates of birth or other personally identifiable information. It also filters responses through a user’s blood data, personal health profile, and InsideTracker’s library of evidence-based content—helping ensure advice remains grounded in science and free from misinformation.
“Terra represents a fundamental shift in how people will interact with their health data,” said Renée Deehan, PhD, InsideTracker‘s senior vice president of science and AI. “Unlike a human, AI has infinite patience to work through complex issues, and with this advancement, it can now cross-reference personal health data with peer-reviewed science. It’s like having unrestricted access to a team of experts across multiple fields of study.”
