Hims & Hers Shows Personalized GLP-1 Plans Are Driving Real Results

New internal data suggests that the platform’s tailored weight loss model is improving outcomes and helping patients stick with their treatment
Hims & Hers is sharing early results from its digital-first GLP-1 weight loss program—and the numbers point to strong adherence, minimal side effects and meaningful weight loss among participants.
The platform, which combines personalized dosing, 24/7 provider access and holistic health support, found that users lost an average of 20.9 pounds—or just over 10% of their starting weight—within six months. Only 10.3% of users reported side effects and less than 5% said those symptoms were severe enough to stop treatment. At the six-month mark, 75% of users remained on their care plan—an unusually high figure given that dropout rates for similar medications have hovered around 80% in other settings.
The findings come from de-identified data across more than 13,000 Hims & Hers customers and point to the value of comprehensive, ongoing support—not just a prescription. Beyond medical access, the program also offers nutrition education, mental health guidance and real-time messaging with care teams. According to the company, patients exchanged more than 6.7 million messages with providers in the first half of the year, with most receiving replies in under five hours.
“Medication is only part of the solution,” said Dr. Craig Primack, Head of Weight Loss at Hims & Hers. “What really drives results is support tailored to the individual—from dosing and behavior change to mental health and recovery.”
