GymGuyz Names President, Eyes Rapid Franchise Growth

The on-site personal training company is aiming to award another 75 territories by the end of the year

GymGuyz, an in-home fitness and on-site personal training company headquartered in Long Island, New York, has announced the appointment of Phil Brojan as president.

In his new role, Brojan will oversee all aspects of the GymGuyz franchise system, including operations, marketing, learning and development and technology.

Brojan previously served GymGuyz as chief marketing officer and is credited for delivering results, profitability and growth for the fitness franchise, boosting brand awareness and leading the expansion to 18 new territories over the last year.

The fitness company says it’s aiming to award another 75 territories by the end of the year.

Having been a multi-unit franchise owner of GymGuyz since 2018, Brojan has vast expertise, including 30 years of experience in developing growth and marketing strategies for Travel & Leisure Co., formerly Wyndham Worldwide.

“Having experienced the process of becoming a successful GymGuyz franchisee himself, no one knows how to better support our franchisees than Phil,” said Josh York, founder and CEO of GymGuyz. “Phil’s passion, dedication, strong leadership, and extreme focus on the success of our franchisees has put us not only ahead of the curve, but prepared us for the rapid growth we are currently experiencing.”

York founded the company in 2008. By 2019, GymGuyz was recognized in the top 5 of Inc. Mag’s “10 Hottest Franchise Businesses in America,” recognizing the fitness company’s growth of more than 801% over the last three years.

GymGuyz’ fitness services are currently available in more than 1,300 cities.

As part of its growth evolution, GymGuyz has launched new fitness services that expand past in-home fitness with customized programs for corporations, hospitals, schools, residential communities and other organizations, leading the company to address a larger market of fitness enthusiasts.

Additionally, GymGuyz confirms that it has been tapped by leaders in the corporate wellness space, as companies seek to entice their employees to return to the office and keep remote workers physically active and healthy.

Brojan says he’s had the privilege of growing personally and professionally with GymGuyz since 2018 and looks forward to seeking innovative ways to support franchisees in his new role.

“Our increasing market share in the corporate fitness space will certainly play a large role in that growth,” Brojan said. “The success of our franchisees is our success. We’re keenly focused on ways to make them more successful, and by doing so, the rest will come.”

Looking ahead, GymGuyz is planning to add stretch services to its in-home and on-site fitness services and has been piloting the new addition in recent months. The fitness company plans to launch the stretching service systemwide in late Q3.
