Yes, each franchise location includes a protected geographic area, which is typically defined as a circle with a 1.5-mile radius around the studio, although boundaries may vary based on population density, location and other site-specific factors. Within this protected area, the franchisor will not operate or authorize other studios to operate.
The protected area is designed to balance market opportunity for franchisees with the franchisor’s flexibility to manage studio placement, distribution channels and future brand growth.
