Fitness On Demand Names New CEO as Part of Global Rebrand

Fitness on Demand plans to transition from being a pure content provider to a “tech partner” for gyms and other facilities

Fitness On Demand has welcomed Andy Peat as its new CEO, signaling the content developer’s new phase of innovation and expansion, which includes a worldwide rebranding.

Effective immediately, Peat will be in charge of the brand’s transition from a content provider to a tech partner for fitness organizations in the fitness, corporate, hospitality and multi-family housing sectors.

Peat comes to Fitness on Demand from Lift Brands, a global fitness franchising company, where he served as chief product officer. He has also been a club owner and CEO of Snap Fitness, growing the business from one location to 250.

“While Fitness On Demand has achieved remarkable strides in the past decade, our aspirations for the next five years are even more monumental as the fitness landscape undergoes transformation,” Peat said. “I really believe in the product road map we’re building for our customers and their users.”

Peat shared that the next phase for Fitness on Demand is already underway.

“We’re going way beyond our history in group class fitness content to becoming a true partner, helping our customers engage and empower users, market exceptionally and create tangible impact on their bottom lines,” he said.

To mark its new global growth ambitions, Fitness on Demand launched a next-generation fitness experience app to increase user engagement, client retention and offer additional revenue-generating opportunities for fitness businesses. 

While fitness operators can engage clients with branding, a library of 1,000 classes, and automated notifications, users will access personalized programs and keep tabs on club events, nutritional insights, wellness guidance and real-time progress tracking.

As part of its new strategy, Fitness On Demand also recently introduced sports news and wellness content channels on its platform so fitness and wellness operators can create a more engaging environment for their members.

“This is the initial, albeit substantial, stride towards our brand’s ultimate vision as the chosen technology and business partner for every fitness business looking to create both the exceptional tech-forward experiences that users expect in fitness today, as well as continued growth for their own businesses,” Peat said.
