David Beckham Partners with F45 Franchise
David Beckham is partnering with global fitness franchise F45 as the company’s newest ambassador. The former soccer player, who was introduced to F45 by actor Mark Wahlberg, will help advocate for F45’s global expansion as its newest face.
International soccer superstar David Beckham has his eyes on championing the world of functional fitness. The celebrated athlete is F45’s newest global brand ambassador, according to the brand’s Instagram page.
A post featuring the exciting announcement states, “Welcome to the F45 fam @davidbeckham This is just the beginning of our journey together, we hope you’re all ready for what’s to come #F45 #F45Training.”
According to F45’s statement regarding Beckham’s latest venture, actor and friend Mark Wahlberg introduced the franchise to the Beckham.
The former Manchester United player posed in front of a huge F45 logo while among a number of hand weights for social media.
“So good to be back with the @f45_training community,” David Beckham wrote on Instagram in December.
F45 explains that David Beckham will have a “key role in its brand marketing initiative to support its continued expansion.” Another one of Beckham’s ambassadorial duties includes advocating for the global growth of the fitness company.
In response to his role as the new face of F45, David Beckham says, “Health and fitness have always been a big part of my life and, since my days playing football, I have always found I’m at my best when training as a part of a team. F45 has a strong community and trainers that help you reach your goals and achieve powerful results. This partnership is an exciting business venture for me also, and I’m looking forward to the journey with F45 as the business continues to expand globally.”
F45 provides a blend of circuit and HIIT-style workouts within its training classes. The company was founded in 2011 and the first F45 studio opened in Sydney, Australia in 2012. Wahlberg is one of F45’s investors, with a stake that is potentially worth up to $15 million, per Business of Business. There are currently over 1,500 F45 studios in 58 countries worldwide. In 2019, Fast Company dubbed F45 “the fastest-growing franchise” and one of the “World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies” in 2020 at number nine.
