CKO Kickboxing has been in the fitness industry since 1997 and began franchising in 2008. The concept was developed after working with clients that hated doing cardio in the gym, Joseph Andreula created a cardio kickboxing program, using real heavy bags.
What is your franchise’s unique selling proposition (USP)?
Our long history in the fitness industry, and the knowledge we’ve converted into support for our franchisees. We have a low startup costs when you compare us to other fitness concepts. It starts with how we negotiate leases and our vendor relationships. Another key feature, anyone can benefit from a CKO class. So, our franchisees have a large percentage of the population in their market to trade with.

Memberships nutrition, personal training and merchandise.

How is your brand positioned for future growth and expansion in the next 5-10 years?
Our team is very efficient and we’ve recently added amenities that allow our franchisees to add revenue streams. We are constantly evolving and are constantly listening to feedback from our franchisees & members.
What are the minimum capital requirements, initial investment costs and ongoing fees for franchisees? Furthermore, are financing or other fundraising options available?
$50,000 liquid and depending on the market, it’s approximately a $150,000 investment. We offer 3rd party financing through our vendor.
What training and support do you provide to franchisees, including marketing, advertising, technology, equipment and real estate?
We pride ourselves on supporting our franchisees and have mandatory trainings. They start with a week in our corporate office that takes them through fitness certification and business management. Once out of training, they are part of our Track to Open & Track to Profit programs. Our team will negotiate your lease, design your club.

Do you grant exclusive rights to a specific geographic area or are there any limitations on competition from other franchisees?
They have exclusive rights and a protected territory. There shouldn’t be any competition from other franchisees and we encourage them to work together.
