NEO Science is a recovery and longevity equipment manufacturer built by operators, for operators.

Back in 2008, founder Robin Kuehne brought one of the first cryotherapy chambers to the United States from Europe and set it up in the duplex he shared with his brother in Los Angeles. Before long, the likes of Kobe Bryant and players from the Chicago Bulls were freezing their butts off in their living room. That kicked off a journey distributing cryotherapy chambers across the country, and eventually opening CryoHealthcare, one of LA’s leading recovery clinics.

Running that clinic taught Robin what no spec sheet could. He still remembers standing on a ladder with a hairdryer, defrosting a frozen chamber while paying customers waited. That wasn’t in the business plan — but it revealed a real problem: equipment built to impress, not to run. Over time, CryoHealthcare grew beyond cryotherapy into a full wellness clinic, mirroring an industry shifting from recovery toward longevity.

In 2020, Robin founded NEO Science to build the devices he always wanted but could never find: equipment that holds up at full commercial volume, backed by the launch support and service he wished someone had given him. That commitment shows: NEO has been recognized with our industry’s Best Customer Service Award two years running. They help operators build, grow and scale wellness businesses through thoughtfully designed technology, education and support, because they’ve been in your shoes. NEO Science is based in Los Angeles, California.

What specialized solutions does your company offer to meet the needs of the fitness and wellness franchise industry?

Everything NEO Science does is designed to benefit the operator, the end user and the industry at large. Our devices are low-touch, require minimal labor overhead and are easy to use with intuitive touchscreen operation, which matters enormously for franchises, where new staff turn over and every location has to deliver the same experience. Simple operation means faster onboarding, consistent service across every unit and less that can go wrong on the floor.

For multi-location operators, predictability is everything. Our equipment is built for utilization, not impressive specifications, with modular components and dependable service models that keep machines running and revenue flowing: no nitrogen dependency, no complex installs and no specialist on call. None of our devices need to become permanent fixtures in your building which matters if you ever move locations. That reliability is what makes a recovery offering scalable rather than a headache.

We’re also a one-stop shop. With a full suite of recovery and longevity devices under one roof, operators can build out an entire recovery offering through a single partner. And, when something needs attention, there’s one number to call, not five. Instead of juggling separate vendors, contracts and service lines for each modality, franchises get one relationship that already knows their business. That simplicity compounds across every location.

In an industry too often driven by hype and marketing numbers, we only make claims we can actually back up and our devices are tested to deliver meaningful, measurable results for the end user. Every product comes with education and hands-on training, marketing materials and assets, dedicated service support and award-winning customer service. As franchises expand, that partnership is what helps operators open faster, train easier and scale with confidence.

Why should franchise owners choose your company over competing providers?

If you’re running a franchise, you already know your success comes down to execution across every location: consistent service, staff you can train quickly and equipment that doesn’t derail your day when it goes down. That’s exactly the world NEO Science was built for.

One of the biggest things that sets us apart is that we used to be operators. Our founder and several team members have owned and operated recovery locations ourselves. We’ve stood on the floor, managed the staff and felt the pain when a machine went down and the manufacturer wouldn’t pick up the phone.

Most companies sell equipment and disappear after installation. We see the relationship as just beginning because we know a franchise owner’s success depends far more on training, service and support than on any single spec. From devices engineered to be simple to operate and integrate, to education, marketing and award-winning service, everything is designed to help you open faster, train easier and scale with confidence, while still delivering powerful results for your members. That’s the difference between buying a machine and gaining a partner.

Do you require an existing relationship with the parent franchise company to work with individual franchisees?

No. As long as the parent franchise allows franchisees to make independent equipment decisions, we’re happy to work with and support them directly.

What size franchise business does your company specialize in serving?

All sizes. We work with franchises ranging from small groups of two to five locations up to systems with hundreds of locations, including operators outside the U.S. across Canada, the Middle East, and parts of Europe and Asia.

Can you share insights into the number and types of franchise brands your company has collaborated with?

Yes. Over the past two decades, we’ve built relationships with a range of franchise partners, including Restore Hyper Wellness, Pause Studio, Next-Health, Virgin Active, Altered States and Recovery Lab, among others. These have spanned everything from small groups of two to five locations up to systems with hundreds.
