Race to the Finish: iFIT Integrates Ergatta’s Gamified Content

A partnership between iFIT and Ergatta delivers an immersive virtual racing experience to NordicTrack and ProForm equipment
iFIT is elevating its personalized fitness platform by partnering with cardio gaming content leader Ergatta, integrating a gamified, immersive virtual racing experience into its NordicTrack and ProForm equipment, giving members a new option beyond classes and instructor-led routines.
The partnership allows iFIT Pro members to race virtually, compete with other athletes, themselves or iFIT trainers and even set pacers to match a target speed. The racing experience begins rolling out to iFIT-enabled treadmills today, with iFIT-enabled rowers following shortly after.
“We’re excited to offer the Ergatta experience to our iFIT athletes,” iFIT chief subscription officer Jeremy McCarty said. “Not only does it provide another way to workout, but brings together the iFIT community for friendly competition. “We share similar values with the Ergatta team: to create immersive workouts that lead toward long-term results. This is the first in a series of new member experiences that we are bringing to the iFIT platform.”
Currently, members can access dozens of workouts ranging from shorter sprints to multi-stage endurance competitions. More will be added each month.
“At Ergatta, we’ve seen firsthand how game-based fitness can be a powerful tool to drive motivation, consistency, and long-term results,” Ergatta co-founder and CEO Tom Aulet said. “When we looked at iFIT’s industry-leading platform—renowned for its immersive content and personalized fitness experience—we saw an exciting opportunity to enhance the member experience even further by introducing competitive, game-inspired workouts. This partnership brings together iFIT’s holistic approach to fitness and community with Ergatta’s unique strength in game-based motivation—giving members more ways to stay inspired and connected in their fitness journeys.
Aulet, who has clearly had his finger on the pulse of connected fitness, noted to Athletech News that consumer expectations within the space are rapidly evolving.
“It’s no longer enough to offer a single type of best-in-class content—members now expect variety and continuous innovation from the platforms they choose,” he shared. “What were once category leaders in specific areas are now expected to deliver a wide range of experiences and offerings, from instructor-led classes to outdoor content to gamified workouts. We believe the future of connected fitness will be shaped by companies and platforms that offer true content variety and flexibility, keeping members engaged over the long term and continuing to drive persistent value in their experience.”
The partnership between Ergatta and iFIT, he says, is one example of how platforms like iFIT are expanding their content offerings to meet the evolving expectations of their members.
“By integrating Ergatta’s race-based gaming workouts into the iFIT ecosystem, we’re introducing a new, fun, and competitive way to work out—one that complements iFIT’s already diverse library of content,” he added.
