President Joe Biden has made his picks for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition, and while the list of appointees mostly includes athletes and doctors, a pair of names from the health and wellness industry made the cut.

Jonathan Feinman, the founder and executive director of InnerCity Weightlifting, was included as one of the president’s appointees. ICW is a non-profit organization that works to help people impacted by mass incarceration and systemic racism.

The president also appointed Stefany Shaheen, co-founder and president of Good Measures LLC, an organization that partners with health plans and corporations to help people make healthier food choices.

On March 24, Biden announced his intent to appoint 27 members to the Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. The list of appointees mostly featured athletes, medical professionals and key players from the culinary field. Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim are two of the biggest names on the list.

The President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition exists to promote good nutrition and physical activity and encourage all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

The Council has a partnership with the National Fitness Foundation, which was established in 2010 as the only congressionally chartered nonprofit focused on health and fitness.
