With new offerings like mindfulness and cryotherapy, 24 Hour Fitness is offering tools to support their consumers at all stages of their fitness journeys
Fitness industry leader 24 Hour Fitness is far from just focusing on its members’ physical fitness. Through new partnerships with companies like Headspace and iCRYO, 24 Hour Fitness is empowering its members to focus on mental and physical recovery.
On World Mental Health Day, 24 Hour Fitness and Headspace Health launched a partnership to encourage a more holistic approach to health, including mental health. New and existing 24 Hour Fitness club members could claim a complimentary three-month Headspace subscription to stress less, sleep better, get moving, and find more focus and joy.
Headspace offers more than 1,000 hours of premium mindfulness content, from guided meditations, eyes-open exercises like mindful walks and runs, and sleep content to offer users tools to lead happier, healthier lives. 64% of the 24 Hour Fitness audience rate emotional wellbeing as more important now compared to 51% pre-pandemic. Research has shown that 30 days of Headspace resulted in a 32% decrease in stress, and 4 weeks of Headspace improved focus by 14%.
“Decades of research show that physical and mental health are deeply intertwined,” said Katie DiPerna, Senior Vice President, Partnerships, Headspace Health. “With this partnership, we’re thrilled to bring awareness of the power of meditation and mindfulness to the 24 Hour Fitness community, and to provide their members and employees with a new tool to improve their overall health and wellbeing.”
In addition, 24 Hour Fitness teamed up with iCRYO, a fast-growing recovery and wellness brand, to offer whole-body cryotherapy, compression therapy, red light therapy, and IV therapy to improve recovery at its Aurora, Colorado location. Other popular partnership programs include Nutrishop, a nutritional supplement company, and P.A.S.E. Factor, a boutique HIIT workout brand.
“Mind and body health is a priority for most people, and we’re excited to offer these additional services to help everyone lead their healthiest, happiest lives,” said Ben Randall, Regional Vice President of 24 Hour Fitness.
The fitness center chain operates 300 clubs in 11 states for more than 2 million club members. 24 Hour Fitness membership options include club amenities like functional training equipment, group exercise classes, and now wellness services in select locations.
“I’ve always been proud of our company’s mission to create a healthier, happier world,” said Karl Sanft, President and CEO, 24 Hour Fitness. “Now more than ever, this mission extends beyond physical fitness to include the importance of mental health and well-being.”
