Myzone Premium Makes It Easier for Gyms To Host Group Fitness Classes

Research shows that gym members using Myzone stay at least 24% longer than those who don’t, says the company’s CEO

Myzone has launched Myzone Premium, three new fitness experiences that enable gyms and other facilities to find the perfect fitness solution to meet the needs of their community.

The Myzone Premium offering allows facilities to host and broadcast fitness and well-being classes that take advantage of the wearable fitness brand’s live heart-rate technology.

MZ-Club offers facilities the ability to broadcast live and pre-recorded fitness and well-being content using the Myzone booking diary. Trainers and staff can also upload pre-recorded content to the MZ-On Demand section of the app. With MZ-Club, members can work out with familiar trainers, class disciplines and visual environment.

MZ-Together allows any community to participate in Myzone live classes, such as Cardio Club, hosted by Myzone master trainers. Members can access classes coached by heart rate zone with other Myzone movers.

MZ-On Demand unlocks over 1,300 classes that can be filtered by Myzone Effort Points (MEPs), duration or required equipment. Myzone says MZ-On Demand’s resource of classes is ideal for enhancing any gym’s current class timetable.

Myzone’s new MZ-Maps feature is included with all three Myzone Premium offerings. The MZ-Maps feature allows participants to see when they reach each heart rate zone while on their route, which Leon Rudge, global head of product at Myzone, says is a critical element of hybrid training.

“Being able to track effort in the club and then map effort out of it gives a whole new approach to gym engagement and community benefit that works in tandem to complement every exercise and drive positive behavior change,” Rudge said.

The latest offering comes after Myzone significantly invested in keeping communities moving and accountable on their wellness journeys during the pandemic.

“This is a huge opportunity for gym communities to scale their class experience and get more people moving in new ways,” said Dave Wright, CEO of Myzone. “That consistent experience, tied in with the benefits of meeting World Health Organization guidelines for physical activity, is set to be a game changer in enabling more people to work out wherever they want, all while still staying connected to their gym or fitness facility.

Wright adds that Myzone research shows that gym members using Myzone stay at least 24% longer than those who don’t.

“As a commitment to positive behavior change, the development of these new premium features enable gym operators, personal trainers and other professionals to keep more people moving, more often, anywhere,” he added.

Myzone recently wrapped up the 2023 Congressional Physical Activity Challenge, where members of Congress and their staff used Myzone wearable fitness bands to promote nationwide fitness and wellness.
