ISSA & Yoga Alliance Partner to Launch Yoga 200 Virtual Training Program
Students of the ISSA x Yoga Alliance online program will learn everything from sequencing to yogic philosophy while learning at their own pace
The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and Yoga Alliance have teamed up to launch Yoga 200, a virtual training program.
The 200-hour online education course is designed for yoga enthusiasts who wish to become yoga instructors or simply deepen their study of the ancient practice.
The latest course offering from ISSA is recognized by Yoga Alliance, the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. The alliance is considered the leading authority on yoga credentialing and ensures that standards are met for the education of yoga teachers.
“In a climate that is swiftly embracing virtual learning, there hasn’t been a course that meets the Yoga Alliance requirements while also providing an online learning platform. So, we are thrilled to have developed it. Passionate learners want to have education that is recognized by the top accreditations and for yogis, that is the Yoga Alliance,” said ISSA CEO Andrew Wyant.
Yogis will discover subjects surrounding the seven body chakras, methodology, sequencing, verbal and assisted cueing, anatomy, philosophy, and history. Upon completion, students of the program will be able to create and teach yoga classes like Hatha and Vinyasa.
The flexibility of the online education program offers yoga practitioners the ability to progress at their own pace.
“At ISSA, we’re transforming the world of wellness. Through the Yoga 200 course, our teachers will get the latest in yoga practices and technique, all completely on-demand, with full-time support”, said Wyant. “Yoga goes far beyond the walls of a studio. We want to transform the lives of teachers taking the ISSA Yoga 200 course, and the people they go on to teach. Through becoming a recognized Registered Yoga School through the Yoga Alliance, we are creating a road to success for those who wish to empower themselves as a Yoga 200 instructor.”
The $262.33/month 12-month Yoga 200 virtual training program currently costs just $99.00/month (excluding applicable taxes and fees).
