With Oxford as the launch point, Speedflex begins its rollout at David Lloyd Clubs, offering joint-friendly strength training

Speedflex has launched its high-intensity, low-impact training concept at David Lloyd Clubs, starting with two of its Blade machines now installed at the chain’s Oxford location. The collaboration marks the debut of Speedflex’s “HIIT Without the Hurt” model to one of the UK’s largest premium fitness operators, targeting members seeking inclusive, functional workouts without joint strain.

The Speedflex Blade uses piston-based resistance that adjusts to the user’s effort, reducing joint impact and offering a low-risk alternative to traditional strength training. David Lloyd greenlit the partnership after seeing how the full-body workout machines could enhance gym floor versatility and cater to members across a range of fitness levels, according to the two brands.

The Oxford installation marks the start of a broader rollout planned for the rest of the year, including clubs in Coventry, Bromsgrove, Dudley and Luton.

“We’re absolutely thrilled about our new partnership with Speedflex,” David Lloyd group gym product manager Katie Milne said. “It’s an incredibly exciting addition to what we offer our members—low-impact, high-intensity training that delivers real results and is suitable for everyone. We can’t wait to get members trying it out and are really looking forward to rolling it out across more of our clubs in the months ahead!”

As part of the launch, Speedflex master trainers led an on-site induction with the club’s personal training staff, including hands-on demonstrations and live workouts to support consistent program delivery.
