Jonah Hill Launches Satirical but Purposeful Wellness Brand, Meaningful Existence

The new brand from Jonah Hill is humorous but mission-driven and offers products like clothing, footwear and wellness accessories

Academy-Award winner Jonah Hill, under the satirical alter-ego “Prophet Ezekiel Profit,” has launched a new lifestyle brand and wellness community called Meaningful Existence.

Prophet Ezekiel Profit made his debut at a Lakers game alongside actress Lisa Rinna, who donned a sweatsuit from Meaningful Existence. The brand’s simple goal is to “spread joy throughout the universe by monetizing happiness.” Through stylish satire, consumers can tout their love of health and wellness while supporting a good cause.

“Material goods and possessions are fundamental to living a Meaningful Existence. We could all afford to buy a little more,” said Hill, in character as Profit. “I hand-blessed each item so the Meaningful Existence disciples can enjoy a strong sense of well-being while also looking their best.”

Meaningful Existence’s initial product offerings include a 15lb weighted blanket, cushioned slides, a candle made from organic coconut oil with notes of jasmine and teak and a gratitude journal. The brand’s clothing includes a crewneck, sweatpants, and sweat shorts crafted from 100% cotton.

Meaningful Existence satirizes the rise of social media influencers’ monetization of spirituality, also known as “conspirituality.” Influencers’ promotion of wellness, holistic health and unplugging (all behind the lens of a camera) is often accompanied by sales pitches. Meaningful Existence leans into such a message, touting the mantra that happiness can, in fact, be bought.

To remove the stigma around prioritizing mental well-being, the company donates 3% of all sales to fund scholarships for future therapists. The Meaningful Existence Scholarship recently launched in partnership with Bold.org and is now open for applications. The remaining proceeds will be donated to nonprofit organizations.
