Peloton Introduces @PelotonStudios for Existing Members, Offering Behind-the-Scenes Content
An exclusive social media page on Instagram has launched for those within the Peloton community
Peloton has rolled out a new social media account, @PelotonStudios, designed for its devoted fitness base.
The connected fitness brand refers to it as an official community hub for original instructor content, behind-the-scenes, class info, and more.
“Inspired by the connections we see at our studios, we’ve created @PelotonStudios as the digital community hub to support, inspire, and entertain our Members on their fitness journeys. From behind the scenes content, to up-to-the-minute updates on our studios and classes, to original content featuring your favorite instructors, this is your VIP pass to all the action!” the first post on the new IG page reads.
One clip depicts how Peloton Instructor Emma Lovewell spends her day off; another clip shows the Peloton community celebrating a fellow cyclist’s 95th birthday at the London studio.
@PelotonStudios complements two other existing Peloton socials, @onepeloton, its main account, and @pelotonapparel, which focuses on Peloton’s apparel division.
The social page may either appease or tease Pelotoners experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out) due to the inability to book classes in Peloton’s in-person studios, a common frustration among the indoor cycling community.
“Seriously to those of you who get the classes… how do you do it?!? I was told to try and log in at 11:45 ET from a Peloton rep. I logged in at 11:30 and had this many people in front of me!!! I’ve been trying for months. Even look during week in case people cancel. I want to go so bad but live in LA, so can’t just show up.. any better tips?” one poster asked on Peloton’s official member page on Facebook. She attached a screenshot showing that 1,691 users were in line ahead of her.
The connected fitness brand also announced it would be taking its Homecoming ‘on the road,’ encouraging followers to stay tuned for info on its upcoming community celebration. Peloton teased that the Homecoming will start this summer.
The Peloton Homecoming event is member-focused, featuring special classes, panels, and typically leads to notable announcements from its CEO. The last few years have been virtual, but prior events have occurred in NYC.
Peloton has maintained its comeback story is well underway, as CEO Barry McCarthy just marked his one-year anniversary at the connected fitness company.
“If you’ve been wondering whether or not Peloton can make an epic comeback, this quarter’s results show the changes we’re making are working,” McCarthy wrote in a letter to shareholders on February 1.
