Life Time Revives Former Arden Hills Club With 8th California Location

The luxury athletic country club operator has unveiled the first phase of its Sacramento club
Life Time has opened the first phase of its multimillion-dollar renovation at the former Arden Hills Athletic & Social Club in Sacramento, reintroducing the property as Life Time Arden.
The debut includes upgraded fitness and wellness amenities for which Life Time is known, along with a sprawling outdoor athletic and social space set to open in the coming weeks at the nearly 80,000-square-foot property. Members can expect an outdoor beach club featuring three pools; a racquet sports area with 10 pickleball courts; and nine tennis courts and a Kids Academy offering youth programming.
Life Time acquired the Arden Hills site, located at 1220 Arden Hills Lane, in late 2023. While the location has long been a fixture in Sacramento’s health and social scene, the upscale athletic country club operator says its transformation reflects a new era, complete with luxury design, modernized facilities and a full roster of services delivered by nearly 100 staff members.
“Bringing new life to this iconic property provides members an entirely new health and wellness experience that builds upon the legacy of Arden Hills in Sacramento,” said Parham Javaheri, executive vice president, president of club operations and chief of property development at Life Time. “Life Time Arden complements our nearby clubs in Roseville and Folsom as we grow across Northern California and also reflects a part of our growth strategy to expand in premier markets through strategic acquisitions such as this.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Life Time’s lease at 10 Bryant, a landmark Midtown tower where the company plans to open a 52,000-square-foot luxury club across from Bryant Park in 2027, part of its broader push into Manhattan.
