PickleRage is set to open two new indoor pickleball clubs in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and Jacksonville, Florida, meeting the demand of the beloved sport which has even scored a deal with QVC.

In Glen Burnie, PickleRage will host a VIP party on December 5, offering an exclusive preview of the indoor club. A soft opening is scheduled for December 6-8, during which community members can enjoy free court access. Regular operations begin on December 9, with a grand opening celebration planned for January 17-18. The event will feature a ribbon cutting, live music, vendors, and various activities.

Meanwhile, PickleRage Jacksonville will kick off its launch with a two-day grand opening event on January 3 and 4. Festivities include open play, vendors, and entertainment to mark the occasion.

PickleRage has quickly risen to the top of the indoor pickleball franchise space since its founding last year by a group of pickleball enthusiasts. The franchise features CushionX edge courts—the same joint-friendly surfaces used by professional players at the U.S. Open—along with LED lighting, in-club game-enhancing technology to help players elevate their skills, and an advanced reservation system.

“We’re excited to bring premier PickleRage facilities to both Jacksonville and Glen Burnie,” PickleRage chief operating officer David Smith said.“These new locations mark a significant milestone in our expansion efforts as we prepare to enter Florida and Maryland for the first time, providing dedicated spaces where pickleball enthusiasts of all levels can connect, compete, and foster a sense of community. We’re committed to creating vibrant, accessible hubs for people to enjoy the game and build lasting connections, and we look forward to welcoming players from across these regions.”

The new locations further sweeten a positive year for the indoor pickleball franchisor, which plans to open more than 200 locations across the U.S. over the next two years following a recent deal with private equity group GreenPeak Venture Partners. The franchisor intends to target cities in Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Long term, PickleRage intends to open over 500 locations by 2029.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with PickleRage’s progress thus far and are firmly committed to leveraging our resources to help them succeed,” Jared Feldman, managing principal at GreenPeak Venture Partners, said last month.
