The Remedy Place, known for its social wellness clubs and set for expansion, aims to transform the at-home wellness experience with the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath

Kohler, best known for its kitchen and bath products, has forged a partnership with Dr. Jonathan Leary, Remedy Place’s founder and CEO, to develop innovative self-care products and experiences.

The first creation? The Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath—designed with insight and feedback from Remedy Place members.

A Fully-Loaded Ice Bath

Presenting a new twist on the popular cold plunge, the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath is made from premium materials. The sleek ice bath features temperature control, ergonomic body positioning with a cushioned headrest and hand grooves, a UV-powered filtration system, and an integrated light for breathwork. A built-in smartphone slot allows cold plungers to be coached by Dr. Leary via guided breathwork videos through the Kohler Konnect app.

Intended for both indoor and outdoor use, the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath offers an optional plumbing integration for easy filling and draining.

“Dr. Leary and Remedy Place have demonstrated proven success with a dynamic offering of products and services,” Kohler Wellness GM Katie Stevens said. “Kohler has long provided our customers with bold and innovative products to help enhance their homes as a sanctuary for rest, recovery, and renewal – so working together in partnership with Dr. Leary will further advance our wellness design leadership.”

Dr. Leary remarked that Remedy Place’s passion for designing to heal and Kohler’s advanced engineering and quality craftsmanship have created a  “sophisticated ice bath” that transcends the at-home self-care category.

“We’re excited to bring the Remedy Place experience and cold therapy benefits into people’s homes,” Dr. Leary said. “Our partnership with Kohler embodies a deep appreciation for world-class design and innovation, with the shared goal of delivering breakthrough products and elevated self-care experiences to make people feel better.”

The At-Home Wellness Boom

Founded in 2019, The Remedy Place merges the chance for connection while integrating holistic self-care practices, such as TV therapy, infrared saunas, ice baths, cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, acupuncture, cupping, group classes, functional medicine, and gut health resets.

In an interview with Athletech News last year, Dr. Leary indicated that he was bullish on at-home self-care and shared what was in the pipeline for the brand.

“Awareness has shifted, and people realize the importance of taking care of their bodies,” he said. “Life is precious, and self-care is crucial for overall well-being. The industry is just getting started, and it has the potential to make a positive impact on people’s lives.”

The Remedy Place launched an at-home wellness technology collection last fall, introducing the Remedy Roller, an automated full-body massage device featuring infrared light and voice-guided treatments.

The Remedy Place Plots Expansion

As for The Remedy Place, the social wellness club has a presence in both Los Angeles and New York City. In addition to its upcoming SoHo opening in NYC, The Remedy Place is set to open in Boston later this year.

Last month, the self-care brand appointed William Acevedo as its new chief operating officer, driving Remedy Place’s expansion as it gears up to scale its footprint.

“Remedy Place is at a pivotal point in its evolution, and I am excited to contribute my perspective and expertise to inform the company’s next chapter,” Acevedo said of his new role. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place, driving operational excellence, strategically driving club expansion and brand-enhancing partnerships, and both innovating and elevating the consumer experience. It’s a privilege to join Jonathan and the broader team as we amplify the company’s mission to help people feel better through self-care and social connection.”
