The New Wellness App Blending Breathwork with Top Music Hits
FivePointFive’s CEO says daily wellness solutions need to be both convenient and enjoyable
A science-backed functional breathwork app has launched on the App Store, just in time for the holiday season—a peak period for stress and anxiety for many.
The new app, FivePointFive, offers breathwork sessions tailored to users’ real-time biometric data, accompanied by music from top artists like Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Luke Combs and more. Users can participate in ‘Mind classes’ based on their needs at the moment – whether it’s to calm anxiety, focus the mind, kickstart their day, enhance endurance, gain energy, build resilience, recharge or sleep soundly. The experience is customizable, allowing users to adjust animation, subtitles, haptics and coaching sound levels.
According to FivePointFive’s website, app users can sync to their Apple Watch, with integration coming soon for Whoop, Oura Ring and Garmin users. The app also tracks the impact of the class sessions on mind, body and sleep scores, giving users insight into FivePointFive’s effect on health and well-being.
“In today’s fast-paced world, people need effective, science-backed solutions for daily wellness that not only fit into their lifestyle but are also enjoyable,” FivePointFive CEO and founder Adam Ludwin said. “By combining the science of functional breathwork, the power of biometric data, and the music people love, we want to reinvent how people approach their mental and physical well-being.”
After more than two years of development and testing, FivePointFive says it can deliver noticeable results in as little as 90 seconds.
“I am proud to be part of the FivePointFive journey and genuinely believe it will be a game-changer in the wellness industry,” breathing expert and author Patrick McKeown said. “Their approach to combining technology innovation and entertaining functional breathwork content will no doubt reach and convert a whole new audience, helping millions adopt better breathing habits.”
The app is now available for a free, three-day trial on the App Store. Following the trial, FivePointFive is available for $84.99 annually for a special launch offer or $39.99 quarterly.
While wellness and fitness apps have become abundant in today’s health-focused society, they can be a valuable tool. One study from the University of South Australia this year found that digital tools such as mobile apps have shown measurable improvements in health behaviors.
