Runningman Returns With a Full-Spectrum Wellness Experience

The “Woodstock of Wellness” is back to deliver the best life reset button with choose-your-distance races, cold plunges, a massive sauna and connection
Runningman, the unconventional wellness festival backed by entrepreneur Jesse Itzler and fitness entrepreneur Devon Lévesque, is set to return this fall with a three-day event, running from September 12 to 14 at Kingston Downs in Rome, Georgia.
Now in its third year, the high-profile event offers an experience that’s equal parts movement festival and mindset reset. It comes at a time when fitness competitions like the CrossFit Games and Hyrox are booming, but offers a markedly different experience that trades rivalry for reflection, customizable challenges and a focus on personal growth, recovery and connection.

“I was bored of the same cookie-cutter running races and generic retreats,” Itzler said. “I wanted to build something that breaks every rule. There’s no other event on the planet where you can run—or walk—any distance you choose, hop off the track for a yoga class, or catch a talk by an incredible speaker, all while networking with the most interesting people on the planet. The future of fitness isn’t about competition—it’s about connection, and Runningman is leading that movement.”

Attendees can expect a choose-your-distance race on Runningman’s signature 1-mile loop, where participants can set their own goals and run, walk or jog at their selected distance (5K, 10K, half-marathon, full marathon, or 50k) inside an eight-hour window on race day.
Beyond the race, immersive wellness experiences will be available, from goat yoga and cold plunges to compression lounges, guided breathwork and meditation. Recovery takes center stage inside the event’s 4,200-square-foot wood-fired sauna, billed as the world’s largest and complete with live DJs and guided sauna rounds.

Programming includes breakout sessions and mainstage talks with high-profile names in fitness and performance, with Itzler returning for his annual pre-race keynote. A vendor village is packed with wellness brands, product demos and health grab-and-go snacks and beverages, while evenings shift into celebration mode with live DJs, musical guests and “surprise moments.”
For overnight guests, accommodations range from bring-your-own-tent to luxury glamping or nearby off-site lodging.
“This is not your average race or retreat. It’s a full-spectrum experience designed to unlock something in you,” Lévesque said. “You’re surrounded by people who are here to push boundaries, build real connections and just show up. It’s about movement, having fun and meeting people that carry with you long after the weekend ends. It’s the best life reset button.”
