FlexIt Announces Partnership with the Grand Rapids Gold
The official NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets has joined forces with FlexIt, a virtual personal training provider
FlexIt, a virtual personal training company, has announced a partnership with the Grand Rapids Gold, the Denver Nuggets’ official NBA G League affiliate. When it comes to exceptional fitness performance, FlexIt and Grand Rapids Gold, coached by NBA Champion Jason Terry, share a common goal. FlexIt’s virtual platform will be used for workouts by the Grand Rapids Gold team.
The company has had its sights set on fitness tech, with FlexIt COO Justin Turetsky telling Athletech News last fall that FlexIt has been recognized for leading the way in virtual training. “We expect to see continued growth powered by major partnerships and new technological innovations. If someone has never done it before or never even thought to try, that is right where we are heading next,” Turetsky shared.
FlexIt’s goal of forming major partnerships has now been realized with Grand Rapids Gold. “We are on a mission to make personalized fitness and nutrition available no matter where you are,” says Austin Cohen, FlexIt CEO. “Now, we’re excited to share this with Grand Rapids Gold athletes, coaches and fans.”
“This partnership is a natural match. FlexIt’s customized approach to fitness brings top tier training to their community of users, and we bring a top tier level of basketball to the G League,” says Terry in a press release. “As a personal user of FlexIt, I’m excited to bring it to the team to take their game to the next level.” As an official partner, FlexIt’s logo will adorn the court and practice jerseys.
FlexIt’s proprietary Virtual Personal Training platform provides live, on-demand personal training with certified fitness and wellness professionals, enabling users to transform any room into a fitness studio.
“We’re proud to welcome FlexIt to our team as an official partner,” says Steve Jbara, President of the Grand Rapids Gold. “The organization’s high caliber of fitness and nutrition offerings match our own and will be valuable additions to our team and our community.”
Last year, FlexIt announced Connected Training where trainers can create personalized workouts for members, allowing for a full-service fitness experience based on health goals. FlexIt trainers can curate pre-recorded videos that focus on form and technique and assign members a specified number of sets or reps. Along with music integration and stopwatch functionality, trainers can use drawings and video demos so a client can be provided form correction.
With FlexItPRO, a premium invite-only platform, fitness enthusiasts can access a roster of premium trainers that train celebrities and professional athletes. The virtual fitness platform boasts clients like Terrell Owens, Bart Scott, and Carli Llyod.
FlexIt Nutrition, which launched late last year, offers personalized health products so users can pair their FlexIt workouts with nutrition goals.
