Practice Better Acquires That Clean Life To Add Nutrition Planning Features
The deal, valued in the eight figures, will allow Practice Better users to integrate nutrition offerings into their health and wellness services
Practice Better has acquired That Clean Life, a strategic move designed to seamlessly integrate nutrition planning and healthy eating into the all-in-one software platform for health and wellness professionals.
The acquisition was valued in the eight-figure range.
Practice Better provides practice management and client engagement software for health and wellness professionals, with offerings like scheduling, billing, reporting, telehealth and messaging.
That Clean Life allows professionals to provide customized nutritional guidance to clients. It allows sorting through recipes based on time, diet type, nutrition, and more, and generates meal plans in seconds based on calories, macros and diet type. The acquisition will allow Practice Better’s users to integrate nutritional offerings into their services through the platform.
“It’s always exciting when we can listen to our customers’ feedback and solve their challenges,” said Kim Walsh, CEO of Practice Better. “This acquisition will allow us to integrate our products, culture, and teams to provide an integrated platform that will empower our customers to help their clients live better lives. This is a huge step towards our strategic vision to become the all-in-one platform and community of choice for health and wellness professionals and puts us in a differentiated position to fuel our next phase of growth.”
Abigail Keeso, co-founder of That Clean Life, echoed Walsh’s sentiments.
“One size does not fit all when it comes to nutrition,” Keeso said. “Personalized nutrition is the future, and we’re beyond excited to join the Practice Better team to make it even easier for health and wellness professionals to deliver sustainable nutrition guidance and improve patient outcomes.”
This acquisition comes on the heels of Practice Better’s recent $27 million funding round, led by Five Elms Capital. Practice Better has also recently made significant leadership changes, hiring Kate O’Brien as its head of people and appointing Walsh as its new CEO.
Practice Better’s acquisition of That Clean Life reinforces the company’s position as a leading practice management software solution for health and wellness professionals worldwide. As personalized nutrition gains traction, the acquisition will empower professionals to deliver customized guidance to their patients and clients.
