Netflix & Fitness: Streaming Service Premieres Nike Training Club on Dec. 30

Netflix subscribers will be able to stream Nike Training Club fitness content to get in shape in the new year

Netflix and Chill may very well become Netflix and Fitness in the new year, as the streaming platform enters the fitness space with Nike Training Club.

The club, which is led by Nike certified trainers and offers strength training, yoga, and HIIT workouts, will launch December 30 on Netflix.

And what better time for the streaming platform to debut fitness programming, given the majority of people’s decision to shed holiday pounds or make health and fitness resolutions?

“It’s not always easy to motivate yourself to exercise, but the option to feel the burn and then directly transition into one of your favorite shows does have a certain appeal. And now, that’s exactly what you can do,” Netflix wrote in a blog post of the new fitness content. 

Each Nike Training Club program will have multiple episodes available in multiple languages, catering to a wide range of fitness levels and exercise interests. The Nike Training Club content will be released in two installments, the first of which will include the following fitness programming:

  • Kickstart Fitness with the Basics (13 episodes) 
  • Two Weeks to a Stronger Core (7 episodes) 
  • Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga (6 episodes)  
  • HIT & Strength with Tara (14 episodes) 
  • Feel-Good Fitness (6 episodes) 

Netflix members can search for “Nike” on the streaming platform to discover the workout collection. Additional fitness programs are slated to launch in 2023.

Netflix has previously ventured into the wellness arena, collaborating with Headspace, a meditation and wellness app, to release a calming-focused series last year.
