Today’s expectant and recovering mothers aren’t abandoning their fitness routines—they’re leaning into them—and TRX is ready to meet their needs with educational resources, a new bundle and specialized fitness programming

Mother’s Day may be next month, but supporting maternal health and fitness is a year-round mission for TRX, which has just launched an omnichannel campaign and new offerings dedicated to prenatal and postnatal women’s fitness needs.

For health and fitness professionals, it’s a timely reminder that specialized education in prenatal and postpartum training is an important investment amid today’s wellness boom. Such expertise can help professionals expand their client base while also ensuring women receive proper guidance throughout pregnancy, recovery and their long-term fitness journey.

“Upwards of 50% of clients within gyms and studios are female, and a large percentage of this population become mothers,” TRX vice president of education Brynne Elliott points out. “Promoting health and fitness throughout one’s journey is essential in empowering this population.”

Elliott highlights research showing the benefits of exercise during pregnancy, noting its role in reducing the risk of complications like gestational diabetes, hypertension, lumbopelvic pain, anxiety and prenatal depression. It also helps prepare the body for labor and the physical demands of parenthood in the weeks and months after delivery.

In addition to its Prenatal Athlete Digital Course and Postnatal Athlete Course for fitness coaches, TRX’s signature suspension straps offer a safe tool for an effective, low-impact workout that can be easily adapted for every stage of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

“The TRX Suspension Training and movement-based philosophy is a scalable opportunity to meet your pregnant clients at their level and scale based on their energy, balance and strength throughout pregnancy- challenging them while providing support throughout their movements,” Elliott adds.

Shana Verstegen, TRX Senior Master Instructor, said that she loves using the TRX Suspension Trainer with her pregnant clients for its safety and adaptability.

“Whether you’re in your first trimester or nearing delivery, we can adjust the difficulty in real-time, giving you the perfect balance of support and challenge,” Verstegen said. “One of the biggest benefits of TRX during pregnancy is that it keeps you moving safely without putting extra strain on your joints. As your body changes, we can modify every exercise to match your energy level, balance, and comfort—so you always feel strong and supported. My prenatal and postnatal clients vary significantly from one woman to another.  With the TRX Suspension Trainer I am able to safely challenge their core strength, balance, joint stability and overall fitness while meeting them where they are at on that particular day of their journey.”

For consumers, TRX offers a Bump-to-Baby bundle equipped with the TRX Home 2 Suspension Trainer, annual TRX app on-demand membership, expert-led on-demand TRX workouts designed for prenatal and postnatal athletes and a multi-week series including Mom Strong and the prenatal series.

Leading TRX’s Prenatal Strength Program is fitness trainer and influencer Ashtain Fallon Rothchild, who was in her second trimester when filming the program.

“I wanted all women to feel supported along their pregnancy journey in a real and authentic way,” she says. “My hope in filming this program was to ensure all pregnant women were given a safe space to continue their fitness training while being able to relate to their trainer.  Pregnancy is an entire “season of change,” and it is so important to have a community you can lean on; I hope I can be that community for other women.”

Looking back on her experience training with TRX equipment during pregnancy, she says she quickly realized just how impactful the program had been—especially in building her mental resilience.

“The straps, mini bands and Ybells helped me continue to build strength while also promoting good postural alignment, even as my body experienced major change,” Rothchild says. “Along with all the physical strength it allowed me to gain, it is the mental strength I am most thankful for; what I didn’t realize until now is all the training was preparing me for the hardest athletic event I would ever experience – my emergency c section.”

While TRX’s approach helped her navigate the curveballs of delivery, it also set her up for success in the long run.

“It allowed me to come back to fitness quicker than I ever thought possible,” Rothchild says. “Postpartum is no joke, but the TRX equipment and this program laid the groundwork for me to get back to training sooner than I expected, which I am beyond thankful for.”
