Massage Brand Recruits Wellness-Loving College Ambassadors

The NOW Massage has launched its Campus Collective, enlisting student ambassadors to promote self-care in return for perks

School is back in session and stress levels are climbing, especially among Gen Z students juggling academics, jobs and social pressures. Into that environment steps The NOW Massage, which has just launched its first college ambassador program to engage Gen Z around self-care.

The Campus Collective enlists students to promote the mental and physical benefits of massage through peer-to-peer advocacy and social content. In return, ambassadors will receive perks such as complimentary services, branded merchandise and self-care products in exchange for creating content and helping build community on campus.

“The NOW offers an oasis for students to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect within through the healing benefits of massage therapy,” The NOW co-founder and chief creative officer, Gara Post, said. “In today’s fast-paced world, we want to help students step away from their screens and invest time in self-care so they can show up more fully for themselves and others. With The Campus Collective, we aim to inspire the next generation of healers and self-care enthusiasts.”

The wellness franchise, known for its approachable luxury model, has grown to more than 80 locations nationwide since its founding in Los Angeles in 2015, with interiors designed around calming and trendy beach-inspired aesthetics.

Applications for the fall Campus Collective program are open to current college students. Interested applicants can apply here.

The NOW Massage isn’t alone in targeting student wellness. Colleges are also investing heavily in infrastructure and programming, as seen with Moravian University’s new hub combining counseling and career services, University of Pittsburgh’s wellness center and Peloton’s branded zone at the University of Texas.
